Sorry about butting in to your potential fun time flaming hour guys but I just lose it when it comes to people bad mouthing other people’s art. Thus I’m going to rant some more.


I will admit that Luciels earlier wallpapers aren’t as good as her more recent ones. But can you honestly expect someone to be instantly as good as they’re ever going to be with their first work?
I see you failed to criticize the one entitled Petit Monster. That’s to be expected, simply because in my opinion, perhaps yours too, it’s the best. In fact I’m using it as my current desktop wallpaper right now and I don’t have any intention of replacing it anytime soon. Like many people I consider my computers desktop reserved for only the best.

lol ohh well im used to bad/good critics... i do know that some of my walls are n00b like but im learning as i make more... i didnt grab photoshop and instantly knew how to work eveything out... it takes time to make them...of course not many know this....some say that they can make one wall in 1-3 minutes but i dont think its that easy...depends what you do to it i guess...

anyway recently i havent worked on a new wall..... i've tried to vector... and since i plan to work on more scans (to vector) i'll make a new thread for my vectoring...

I dont think it looks good at all, i disslike the character and the space background. The character is somewhat blurry, the blue strings around the sword shouldnt be there at all and overall it doesnt fit in with the "real" looking background. There, now you had me state my thoughts about this wallpaper aswell.

I'm not feeling the abstract backgrounds myself,
Personally, I like simplier stuff.


Anyways, things look clean enough but just in case, tip for sizeing up:

1) Get as high res a source image as you can (if the source is crappy then there's not much you can do with it anyways)

2) Under image/image size, Contrain Proportions & Resample Image OFF
then double or triple the resolution, depending on how much larger you want to make the image.

3) Under image/image size, Contrain Proportions & Resample Image [bicubic spline] ON
then set image to desired size.

4) Under filter/blur/gaussian blur, set to something under 1 (I tend to go ~0.3).

5) Under image/image size, Contrain Proportions & Resample Image OFF
then set resolution to 72.

And theres a big misstake in your wallpaper section, altarath or w/e his name is has nothing to do with that wallpaper. So i suggest you take it away since he is not the author. If you havnt noticed, the author is AH as you can se in the middle of the japanese katakana character "E".

And it's not a command, it's an ultimatum. Because this is just a forum, and so, a place to share ideas about a common interest. But you've been a grumpy ass since you signed up. I like the site! I like Luciel's wall-papers! I like Petite Monster!

I don't like people that hate on other people or what they like or think is cool.

I like Elfen Lied, a lot, and not because of the "blood" and "nudity". I liked it because, I did.

Wait a minute, maybe I misunderstood that as you attacking Elfen Lied but in reality you're actually attacking "fanboi"s that think Blood and Nudity=Great Anime. (Please note: I do not like Under's Elfen Lied wall-paper example.) I'll hope for the latter, because I'm an optimist (and a hypocrite).
